Texas Health Heart & Vascular Hospital is a joint venture, physician investor-owned company between Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital and cardiologists on the medical staff.
The hospital is located in the Tom Vandergriff building on the Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital campus and offers advanced services for the diagnosis and treatment of heart and vascular conditions. Patients who visit the emergency room at Texas Health Arlington Memorial with these conditions are transferred to the heart hospital to receive specialized care under a seamless process.

The heart hospital, which focuses on treating cardiothoracic and vascular diseases, is comprised of 48 beds, four operating rooms, two cath labs, one electrophysiology (EP) lab and one procedure room. Services include:
- Interventional cardiology
- Vascular surgery
- Electrophysiology, including the only robotic catheter system in the Metroplex for treating abnormal heart rhythms with more precision
- Mitrial valve repair surgery
|Baron L. Hamman, M.D.
Dr. Baron L. Hamman, a cardiothoracic surgeon, has been named president of the heart hospital. Hamman specializes in mitrial valve repair surgery and off-pump coronary artery bypass graft operation, or "beating heart" surgery, which is an innovative technique used to bypass blocked arteries on the heart without the use of the heart-lung machine.
He also specializes in re-operative cardiac surgery and congenital heart surgery in adults, and routinely performs minimally invasive and port access cardiac surgery.
Hamman completed his undergraduate degree in biology at Stanford University and earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and Harvard Medical School. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
Hamman is a member of the Sarnoff Society of Scholars, the Society of Thoracic Surgeons and the International Society of Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery.
